Qiuhong Li
Qiuhong Li, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology. Her research interest is focused on studying the mechanisms causing retinal diseases, both inherited retinal degenerative diseases and age-related macular degeneration, retinal and choroidal neovascular diseases, with particular focus on diabetic retinopathy using both gene-based and pharcological approaches. Dr. Li received a Ph.D. from University of Alberta, Canada in Molecular Genetics and Biology. She was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Ophthalmology at UF before becoming a faculty member.
