Norman Fitz-Coy

Norman G. Fitz-Coy, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida. He earned his doctorate at Auburn University in 1990 and is recognized as an expert in flight mechanics and vehicle health management. Dr. Fitz-Coy’s research team, the Space Systems Group (SSG), investigates multi-robot cooperation, as it applies to spacecraft. The group also studies the dynamics and control of flying satellite formations, which may be used for remote sensing or deep-space applications.
