Harry S. Nick, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Florida. He obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania then completed a fellowship with the Biogen Research Corporation — a biotechnology company based in Weston, Massachusetts. Dr Nick’s work has received a continual funding from the National Institutes of Health since he joined the UF faculty in 1985. As head of a research laboratory, Dr. Nick studies the molecular mechanisms that control tissue-specific gene regulation. He was honored with a UF doctoral mentoring award in 2007.
