Timothy Garrett
Timothy Garrett, Ph.D., is a Research Assistant Professor in the University of Florida’s College of Medicine and Director of their Biomedical Mass Spectrometry Laboratory. He develops innovative techniques for visualizing individual phospholipids in brain, spine and muscle tissue using imaging mass spectrometry and tandem mass spectrometry. Dr. Garrett attained his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from UF in 2006. He earned a 2008 CTSI Pilot Project Award for Novel Technologies. A year later, he received funding from the North Florida Lions Eye Foundation to research age-related macular degeneration.
