Kirk Conrad
Kirk P. Conrad, M.D., is a professor at the University of Florida’s College of Medicine in the Departments of Physiology and Fundamental Genomics and Obstetrics and Gynecology. He received his MD from Dartmouth Medical School in 1980. The research in Dr. Conrad’s laboratory covers many areas, including elucidation of the mechanisms underlying the remarkable vasodilation and increased arterial compliance during normal pregnancy, the potential therapeutic benefit of relaxin in preeclampsia, and the human placenta and placental trophoblast cells, and their role in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia.
