Richard Yost

Richard A. Yost, Ph.D., is a Professor and head of analytical chemistry in the Chemistry Department at the University of Florida. Dr. Yost serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Mass Spectrometry and won the ASMS Award for Distinguished Contributions to Mass Spectrometry. Dr. Yost earned a Ph.D. from Michigan State University, where he and his advisor conceived of the computerized tandem quadrupole mass spectrometer for analytical MS/MS studies. A few years later they brought their patented invention to market, achieving several billion dollars in sales and the ASMS award.
