Timothy Morey
Timothy E. Morey, M.D., is Chairman and a Professor of the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Florida. Dr. Morey received his medical degree from the University of Florida in 1992. As chair, Dr. Morey directs a department that includes nearly 70 clinical faculty members, 20 active research faculty members, 84 residents, 15 fellows, 50 certified registered nurse anesthetists and anesthesiology assistants, and a support and administrative staff approaching 40 people. Previously, Dr. Morey served as Chairman of the Research Committee in the UF Department of Anesthesiology (2005-2013), overseeing a significant increase in departmental research support from the National Institutes of Health. He has published nearly 80 research articles on topics such as clinical anesthesiology, nanotechnology and particle science.
