Daniel Lipinski

Daniel Lipinski, D.Phil., was a research assistant professor at the University of Florida; he received an master's degree in virology from Imperial College London, UK, and a Ph.D. from the University of Oxford, UK, where his research focused on the attenuation of cone photoreceptor degeneration following advanced rod loss in retinitis pigmentosa. Dr Lipinski’s research focused on the development of the development of novel therapeutic strategies to protect photoreceptors in end-stage retinal disease, and use of capsid-mutant AAV vectors to efficiently target the retinal vasculature dysfunction, which frequently leads to angiogenesis and subsequent neovascularisation.
