Jacob Chung

Jacob Nan-Chu Chung, Ph.D., is the Andrew H. Hines, Jr./Progress Energy Eminent Scholar Chair Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida. He earned his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.  Dr. Chung’s research activities have been in the general areas of fluid mechanics and heat transfer, with a special focus on bubble dynamics, phase change heat transfer, multiphase flows, micro-scale thermal transport, space cryogenic propellant thermal management, biomass and solid waste conversion to clean energy by steam gasification.
