Josephine Allen, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Material Sciences & Engineering at the University of Florida. Dr. Allen received her Bachelor of Arts in biology from California University Northridge and her Master of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology from California State University. She completed her Ph.D. at the Interdepartmental Biological Sciences (IBiS) Program at Northwestern University. Dr. Allen’s research interests include biomaterials, cell-material interactions, stem cell differentiation, and controlling adult stem cell differentiation for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
