Clifford Bowers

Clifford Bowers, Ph.D., is a full professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Florida. He earned his Ph.D. from the California Institute of Technology in 1990.  Bowers has published approximately 100 articles and book chapters in peer-reviewed literature. He co-authored the discovery of parahydrogen enhanced nuclear magnetic resonance and has also pioneered other techniques for hyperpolarization of gases, liquids, and solids. His current research focuses on the development of improved methodology for hyperpolarization from parahydrogen and the translation to biomedical magnetic resonance imaging.
