Eric Wang

Eric Wang, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology at the University of Florida. Dr. Wang earned his Ph.D. from Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. He received an NIH Director’s Early Independence Award and has multiple publications. Dr. Wang’s research interests include studying the pathogenesis of microsatellite repeat diseases, studying the basics of how RNA is processed and localized in cells in tissues, and combining insights made in both of those areas to develop treatments for people with these diseases.
