Wallace Sawyer

Wallace Gregory Sawyer, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida. Dr. Sawyer earned his Ph.D. from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1999. His interests include tribology, the branch of science and technology concerned with interacting surfaces in relative motion. Dr. Sawyer conducts research primarily on solid lubrication and particularly with applications to high temperature lubrication, polymer nano-composites, biomedical implant materials, and extreme environment solid lubricant coatings.
