Massimo Maddaloni Massimo Maddaloni, Ph.D., is an adjunct research assistant professor in the Department of Infectious Diseases and Immunology at the University of Florida. Dr. Maddaloni earned his Ph.D. in industrial microbiology at the University of Milan, Italy. He has researched Saccharomyces cerevisiae cell-cycle control, maize formal and molecular genetics, fungi-tolerant GMO plants, and vaccine delivery platforms. Dr. Maddaloni’s research interests include biotechnology, genetic engineering, and synthetic biology.
