David Bloomquist
David Bloomquist, Ph.D., P.E., was the Byron D. Spangler Professor in the Department of Civil and Coastal Engineering at the University of Florida. In addition, he was the Director of the University Center for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Bloomquist’s research was in the areas of geotechnical centrifuge modeling, <i>in situ</i> testing of soils, laboratory and field sensor development, and concrete technology. He is a registered professional engineer in the State of Florida. Dr. Bloomquist received a Ph.D. in 1983 from the University of Florida.
