Damon Woodard

Damon Woodard, Ph.D., is a professor in the UF Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and director of the Florida Institute for National Security at the University of Florida. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, after which he was appointed a Director of Central Intelligence postdoctoral fellow. He joined the faculty of the University of Florida in 2015 and is now a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and a National Academy of Science Kavli Frontiers Fellow. His research interests are in biometrics, applied artificial intelligence, computer vision, and natural language processing.
