Maria Grant

Maria B. Grant, M.D., is a professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the University of Florida. Dr. Grant is a member of the Governor’s Advisory Panel on Treatment and Research of Diabetes in the State of Florida. Her research efforts are focused on characterizing the molecular mechanisms responsible for the development of diabetic retinopathy, the most frequent microvascular complication of diabetes mellitus and the leading cause of adult blindness in the U.S.
