Yunwei Cao

Y. Charles Cao, Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Florida. Dr. Cao leads the Cao Research Group, which studies the control of material structures at the nanometer scale. His scholarly focus lies at the interface of nanochemistry and bio-analytical chemistry. Dr. Cao is known for his work in the areas of nanocrystal synthesis, assembly, and surface functionalization. He has received numerous awards, including an NSF Career Award and the Exemplary Graduate Advisor and Mentor Award from the NSF AGEP Program.
