James Trainham, Ph.D., is a professor and associate chair for industrial relations in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida. Prior to joining UF, he had a successful career in industry, including serving as director of the Research Triangle Solar Fuels Institute. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1979. His research interests include renewable energy, synthetic fuels, energy storage, and electrochemical engineering.
