Mavis Agbandje-McKenna

Mavis Agbandje-McKenna, Ph.D., was a professor of biochemistry and molecular biology within the College of Medicine at the University of Florida. She was also the director of the Center for Structural Biology. She received her Ph.D. in biophysics at the University of London in 1989 and completed a postdoctoral research assistantship in the Department of Biological Sciences at Purdue University, Indiana. Her research interests included structural studies of ssDNA viruses, Parvoviridae, Geminiviridae, Microviridae, Circoviridae and their applications as gene therapy vectors, vaccines and other therapies.
