Michael Norris

Michael Norris, Ph.D., is an assistant research professor in Medical Geography in Global Health at the University of Florida. He is also the principal investigator at the Emerging Pathogens Institute and Co-Director at the Spatial Epidemiology and Ecology Research Laboratory. Norris received his B.S. in biology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004 and his Ph.D. in molecular biosciences and bioengineering from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa in 2014. His current research focuses on host-responses and molecular mechanisms involved in host-pathogen interactions.
