Sumita Bhaduri-McIntosh, M.D., Ph.D., is a professor of Pediatrics - Division of Infectious Diseases in the College of Medicine at the University of Florida. Dr. Bhaduri-McIntosh completed her Pediatric Infectious Disease fellowship at Yale University and her Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Drexel University. Her research focuses on cancer development and progression triggered by a highly prevalent virus, the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), interactions between EBV and human cells that impact disease, and discovery of antiviral, oncolytic, and synthetic lethal approaches to tackle EBV-cancers.
