Michael McIntosh, Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health Research Institute at the University of Florida College of Medicine, specializing in infectious diseases. He received his Ph.D. in molecular biology and biotechnology from Drexel University, College of Medicine. His research combines virus discovery, transcriptomics, and proteomics to reveal new diagnostic markers, host factors contributing to disease, and targets the development of antivirals, therapeutics, and vaccines.
