Aaron Costin

Aaron Costin, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the M.E. Rinker School of Construction Management at the University of Florida. He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in civil engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2011, 2013, and 2016, respectively. Dr. Costin leads the Smart Construction Informatics (SCI) laboratory where they research emerging technologies and interoperability for the built environment. Dr. Costin’s research interests include Building Information Modeling (BIM), the Internet of Things (IoT), smart cities, design computing, industrialized construction, construction safety and productivity.
