Christopher McCurdy

Christopher McCurdy, Ph.D., F.A.A.P.S, is a professor at the University of Florida’s College of Pharmacy. He also serves as the director of the UF Translational Drug Development Core and the Frank A. Duckworth Eminent Scholar Chair. McCurdy received his Ph.D. in medicinal chemistry from the University of Georgia in 1998 and completed a fellowship in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Minnesota in 2001. For over 20 years, his research has focused on opioid, Neuropeptide FF and sigma receptor ligand/probe design, synthesis, pharmacological evaluation and development. He has been successful in discovering unique and selective tools for sigma receptors, NPFF receptors and opioid receptors.
