Carlton Bates

Carlton Bates, MD, is a professor of pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Department of Pediatric Nephrology. Dr. Bates earned his medical degree and completed his residency at The Ohio State University, and he completed his fellowship at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Bates studies the role of fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFRs) in kidney and lower urinary tract development and disease.
