Faheem Guirgis

Faheem Wagid Guirgis, M.D., is an associate professor of emergency medicine, the program director of the Emergency Medicine & Acute Care Research Fellowship, director of the Center for Research Training, and Vice Chair of Research at the University of Florida. He earned his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University in 2006. Dr. Guirgis has been the recipient of multiple NIH awards to fund his research and past recipient of a Society of Critical Care Medicine Weil Research grant. His research interests include sepsis, mechanisms of lipid dysregulation, clinical implications, and novel therapies.
