Aakanksha Jha

Aakanksha Jha, M.S., Ph.D., is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Fischell Department of Bioengineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. Aakanksha received her Ph.D. in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Florida in 2023. She also received her master’s degree in biomedical engineering at the University of Florida in 2020. Aakanksha received her bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Gujarat Technological University, India, in 2018. Her research interests involve immunoengineering, tissue engineering, biomaterials, cell-material interactions, and macrophage response to injury. Aakanksha was awarded the Outstanding International Student award from the University of Florida during her PhD.
