Baoji Xu, Ph.D., is a professor at the Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation and Technology. He earned his Ph.D. in molecular biology from Stanford University in 1995 and completed his postdoctoral training in neuroscience at the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Xu’s research focuses on understanding how both healthy and diseased brains work. His lab focuses on the mechanisms by which factors such as brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF) regulated the development and functions of brain neural circuits that control body weight, learning, mood, and social behaviors.  https://scripps.ufl.edu/profile/xu-baoji/
