Bruna Garcia

Bruna Albuquerque Garcia, DDS, Ph.D., is a clinical assistant professor in the University of Florida Department of Restorative Dental Sciences, Division of Prosthodontics. Garcia earned her doctor of dental surgery degree from Federal University of Ceara in Brazil and a master’s in dentistry in prosthodontics from Federal University of Ceara. She received her Ph.D. in prosthodontics at Federal University and completed postdoctoral training in the UF Department of Oral Biology, where she was a T90/R90 NIH Research Training and Career Development grant trainee. Her research interests are in applied microbiology, oral biofilms, multispecies biofilms, biomarkers, biofilms’ extracellular matrix, molecular biology, antimicrobial resistance and anti-biofilm therapies.
