Apichai Tuanyok

Dr. Apichai Tuanyok, Ph.D., serves as an associate professor at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. He earned his Ph.D. in medical microbiology from the University of Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in 2000. Dr. Tuanyok’s research focuses on therapeutics, diagnostics, and vaccines for melioidosis and glanders. His projects are guided by the “One Health” paradigm, which follows the interconnectedness of human, animal, and ecosystem health. His groundbreaking innovations have led to national recognition for developing rare novel disease protocols and treatments.
