Yuanjun He

Yuanjun He, Ph.D. – is a senior scientist at the Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation & Technology. She has been with UF Scripps Biomedical Research since April 2022. Prior to this, she spent 14 years at The Scripps Research Institute in Florida. Yuanjun earned her master's degree from East China University of Science and Technology in 1994 and her Ph.D. degree from Florida Atlantic University in 2005. Her research focuses on translational drug discovery targeting nuclear receptors, ion channels and G-protein coupled receptors. This includes designing and synthesizing probe molecules for orphan receptors to developing pre-clinical safety assessment candidate molecules for more advanced programs.
