Ryan Sharston, Ph.D. is an assistant professor with joint appointments in both the School of Architecture and the Rinker School of Construction Management in the College of Design, Construction and Planning at the University of Florida. He is also a research faculty at the Florida Institute for Built Environment Resilience. An architect, and a civil and environmental engineer, he leads the Adaptive Built Environment Lab at UF. His research focuses on high-performance buildings, adaptive and resilient built environment, IEQ, and occupants’ health and well-being. In his professional practice, he has served as lead engineer and construction manager for numerous projects, with a particular focus on technologically advanced and integrated designs and constructions.
