Holger Russ, Ph.D., is an associate professor at the University of Florida’s College of Medicine Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics. He earned his Ph.D. in human genetics and biochemistry at Tel Aviv University in 2011. Dr. Russ’s research focuses on regenerative medicine, mainly through stem cell technology. He studies molecular and cellular mechanisms relevant to diseases such as autoimmune type 1 diabetes. Before joining the faculty at the University of Florida, he was a director at the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes at the University of Colorado.
