Greg Sawyer, Ph.D., was the N.C. Ebaugh Chair and Distinguished Teaching Scholar at the University of Florida. Dr. Sawyer earned his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1999. He has published over 200 journal papers, has over 10,000 citations, holds over 20 patents, was a speaker at TED 8 (1998), and a member of the original Mars Rover Program (NASA-JPL 1992).
