Noah Rakestraw is a Ph.D. student in the Biomedical Sciences Program with a concentration in genetics at the University of Florida. Noah received his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Occidental College in 2022. He works with Dr. Piyush Jain to characterize and engineering enzymes for genome editing with an aim to develop safe and effective gene modification tools for applications in human medicine and beyond.
