Victor J. Blanco-Marquez is a marine and natural resources extension agent III for the University of Florida/IFAS Extension in Taylor County, Florida. He earned his master’s degree in fisheries and aquatic sciences from the University of Florida in 2022. His professional career includes experience with the public and state sector in his country, Venezuela, and internationally as a consultant for the United Nations Development Program and UNESCO. His extension programs with Florida Sea Grant in Taylor Country primarily focus on recreational fishing and the artificial reef program to enhance marine habitat and monitor fish abundance and structure in these new habitats.
