Anthony DeStephens, M.S., is currently a fourth-year medical student at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Prior to medical school, he worked for seven years as a simulation engineer at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he collaborated with faculty across departments to design and implement high-fidelity simulators for medical education and research. He earned his B.S. and M.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Florida, with a minor in biomechanics, and later completed a Master of Science in Medical Science at the University of South Florida. His research and professional interests focus on the design, validation, and integration of simulation-based training tools and medical devices, with experience spanning mechanical modeling, fluid dynamics, and biomedical simulation.
