German Sandoya-Miranda, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Horticultural Sciences at the University of Florida. He earned his Ph.D. in agricultural and horticultural plant breeding from the University of Vigo in 2008. His research focuses on lettuce genetic improvement, including breeding for disease resistance, nutrient-use efficiency, and other traits that enhance crop performance and sustainability.
