Jeremy Brawner, Ph.D., is a courtesy faculty professor in the University of Florida’s Department of Plant Pathology. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Queensland in 2013, where he conducted research in statistical and quantitative genetics. His current work focuses on developing disease-tolerant tree crops and creating more efficient disease screening and breeding programs. Dr. Brawner’s research aims to integrate resistance gene selection into breeding efforts to enhance crop yields. His contributions to the field have had an impact on both domestic and global projects.
