Naim Montazeri, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of Food and Environmental Virology in the Food Science and Human Nutrition Department at the University of Florida and a Florida Sea Grant faculty affiliate. He received his Ph.D. in food science from Louisiana State University in 2015. His research focuses on understanding human pathogenic viruses and developing strategies to reduce their transmission in food and the environment to improve food safety.
