Paul Davenport, Ph.D., is a Distinguished Professor of Physiological Sciences in the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where he researches control of breathing, pulmonary function assessments and rehabilitation of respiratory muscles. The recipient of numerous teaching awards and a prolific scholar who has published in all the top journals in his field, Dr. Davenport was also president of the International Society for the Advancement of Respiratory Psychophysiology. He earned his doctorate in physiology and biophysics at the University of Kentucky.
