Patricio R. Muñoz del Valle, Ph.D., is an associate professor of blueberry breeding and genomics at the University of Florida’s UF/IFAS. He earned his Ph.D. in molecular breeding and a master’s in quantitative genetics from the University of Florida. Dr. Muñoz leads efforts in developing high-yielding, disease-resilient blueberry cultivars and applies modern genetic tools to accelerate breeding, contributing to the release of multiple commercially valuable varieties.
