Robert Huigens

Robert W. Huigens III, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the University of Florida’s Department of Medicinal Chemistry. He earned his Ph.D. from North Carolina State University and was an American Cancer Society Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2009-2013. He received Young Investigator Awards from the American Chemical Society in 2015. His research interests focus on natural products inspired by discovery approaches aimed at tackling unmet biomedical challenges associated with drug-resistant/persistent bacteria, cancer and compound library diversity.
