Christopher Batich

Christopher D. Batich, Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of Material Science and Engineering at the University of Florida. He is a founding director of the Biomedical Engineering Program at the school. He has been granted the Professional Excellence Program Award and the Award for Excellence in Teaching for his outstanding contributions to his scientific field. A member of the editorial boards of two research journals, he has published approximately 150 papers and contributed to over 40 issued patents. His research interests include poly­meric biomaterials, biomedical engineering, drug delivery, and polymer degradation.
